The book, Silent Victims: Recognizing and Stopping Abuse of the Family Pet , based on FIREPAW and other professionals' research and written by one of the cofounders of FIREPAW, Inc., is making its way into the hands of professionals who can make a difference. The book was also recently featured in a special presentation on animal abuse hosted by the Albany Public Library in Albany, New York. Tales from the Podium turns to Tales in Print
One of FIREPAW's cofounders developed and presented paper presentations on the topics of 'The Social Construction of Economic Value' and 'Animal Ethics and World Trade' last year. Both presentations have recently been accepted as book chapters. The first presentation is a continuation of prior work on firm decision-making processes regarding animal welfare topics, including previous FIREPAW work on breed discrimination, animals in rental housing, meat production, and laboratory animal use. he second continues work on the impact of international trade rules on animal welfare. Both conferences had compilations made of selected articles. FIREPAW's article was included in both cases.
Animalistic Impressions
